Digital Photography for Beginners

Ever wondered why your photos are too dark or too bright? What about that amazing photo you took that really captured a moment... only to find out later it was blurry?
With all the automation in cameras and mobile phones these days it's really frustrating when it lets you down for those special moments.
At Thatcham Photographic Club we spend a lot of time with our members helping them to understand why things go wrong, how to avoid it happening and how to improve the photos we take.
That's why we have put together a one-day training course to go over the basics that gives members a fast start and inspiration to experiment with their photography.
We're now offering places on our next course to non-members.
Check out the details below and get in touch if you would like to come along.
The day will be split into bite sized theory sessions with practical sessions in between. That way you get to learn a bit and practice a bit throughout the day.
We'll go over the controls of your camera and how to use them when Auto mode cannot handle things. We'll also talk about composition and the things you can do to be creative with your photos.
There will be experienced photographers on hand to give you some one-on-one help if you need it and we'll throw in a sandwich lunch and refreshments too.
