British Tradition and French Style

Presented by Olivia Marocco   (www.oliviamarocco.com)

After training in indoor architecture and a year of post graduate globe-trotting, Olivia discovered that her true vocation was in the art of photography and for the past ten years has been building her professional skills and experience behind the camera in areas of fine art portraiture, lifestyle reportage, fashion shoots, quirky and theatrical set-ups, vintage and retro photography and international photojournalism.

With an English mother and a French father, Olivia is bi-lingual and has lived and worked in both countries.  Recently relocated from Nice on the Cote d'Azur, she is now set up for business in Hampshire and the surrounding counties.

“Being an artist at heart I treat photography as the art form it should be and not just a business.  I cater for discerning clients who appreciate beautiful artistic photography.  My work is often described as original, creative, atmospheric, emotional and fun.  I am proud of this as it's what I believe photography is all about, together with having the eye of an artict, the ear of a friend and the attentiveness of a reporter”.

Olivia will talk about her journey from amateur photography enthusiast with just a basic kit to upping her game and teaching herself about technical aspects like camera settings, lighting and composition, starting a business and making a living out of it.  She'll show examples of her wedding and portrait work as well as interior architecture and corporate event photography plus a selection of her personal creative projects and collective photo shoots.

Venue:   Thatcham Town Football Club at 7.30p.m.

Street Photography

Dave is a British born photographer who takes great pleasure in finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, often documenting the surreal happenings on the city streets.  Most of his photography is shot in London, a city he is proud to call home.      London offers a constantly changing canvas of textures, people and events. His preference regarding the type of images he produces is that they have an honesty about them, captured in camera, with little, if any, post processing.
