29 January - Whiskers and Wings

Presented by: Sue Morris - www.suemorrisphotography.co.uk

Sue’s passion for wildlife and photography led her to travel extensively and has resulted in a wide portfolio of images and a wealth of experience and memories. Her images have been fortunate enough to reach the final stages of the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Bird Photographer of the Year and SWPP Wildlife Photographer of the year competitions and she has also published in books and national newspapers.

Her Whiskers & Wings talk combines her passion for photographing wild life with a fairly recent foray into aviation photography. It seems that the two subjects could not be more different, but strangely the appeal and also the technique seem to have lots in common. An interactive talk sharing background stories and techniques for getting great images.

Project vote: Cold

Venue: Thatcham Town Football Club @ 7.30p.m.

Leo has come to our Club before, notably as a very humorous and discerning(?) judge in one of our mix an' match competitions (which we won).

It was only in recent years that he turned to Digital Photography and this talk is based on his struggles. However, he has been encouraged by the fact that he is not alone.... he has met photographers that admit to have less of a grasp on digital projection than himself!

The list of Leo's achievements in the world of photography is long but his enthusiasm for taking photos, talking to clubs and making bad jokes is unstoppable. An educational yet enjoyable evening awaits.
