Ray Buckland
Ray is a retired IT consultant who volunteers at local schools as a STEM Ambassador, helping students learn about computing, robotics and science. Ray has been a member of Thatcham Photographic Club for many years. He manages the website and helps out with various technical requirements. He became Chairman in 2020. He enjoys all forms of photography and is happy to pass on his enthusiasm and knowledge by teaching photography and photo editing courses at the Club.

Ray ClarkRay helps organise our photography field trips and is the main contact with the supplier that makes the TPC merchandise. Being new to photography Ray would like to make sure the Club activities are relevant for members that are also new to this wonderful hobby.

Cathy DaviesCathy helps organise our photography field trips and events. She works full time at NVIDIA as a Sales Operations Analyst, spending most of her days looking at Excel spreadsheets. She enjoys keeping fit in her spare time, plus travelling across the globe to capture memories through photography. She is learning a lot about her new full-frame camera and is working to improve her skills in-camera and post production editing.

Andrew Endean
Working for over 30 years setting up monochromator’s used in various systems for the measurement and characterisation of light sources , detectors and materials. He started with a Praktica film camera , moved to Minolta film / digital cameras. Was a canon user until 2020 , switched to using a fuji X-T3 and now a X-T5. Andrew mainly uses Lightroom, Photoshop and Capture one for editing his images. Andrew is running the external speaker programme for the club and can be contacted at: [email protected] |
Bob FerrymanBob is a retired electronics design engineer and now involved in volunteering. He has been a member for several years. With a background in computing and optics, including astronomy as well as photography, he brings technical skills to the club and is working to improve his artistic inspiration.

Jill HamiltonJill works part-time at a local farm which produces dried herbs and essential oils as an administrator /PA / "Jill" of all trades. She has always worked in an office environment and has a wealth of practical knowledge in IT and all things administrative.
At the beginning of her photography journey, Jill has always enjoyed taking snaps but now wants to further her skills. She joined TPC at the end of 2022 and is looking forward to assisting where she can with the administrative tasks within the club. |
Sue Lloyd
Sue, is a retired teacher. She monitors the main email address of the club and is responsible for researching and booking guest speakers. We plan for 12 months ahead with a programme balanced between practical skills development sessions and inspirational guest speakers presentations.

Patrina SmithPatrina is the club treasurer who maintains a thorough control over all financial TPC matters. She brings a good financial management background to the role from her years of volunteering with a number of youth groups.

Alan Woolfenden
Alan, a retired “postie” who delivered in and around Thatcham for many years, is a totally committed member of the committee who can often be seen out and about taking photos at Thatcham Town Council events. He helps maintain our displays of photographs at West Berks Hospital and Thatcham Town FC as well as helping prior to every club meeting with set-up and the selling of raffle tickets.
