Thatcham Photographic Club (TPC) was asked by Castle School in Newbury to run a photography workshop as part of a collaboration with the Artsmark Award (in association with the Arts Council England).
Dover class was chosen by the school to participate. Five volunteer TPC members helped the students to think more about photography and to practice different techniques to take better photos. This was done during four 1.5 hour workshop sessions throughout May with the excellent support of the class teacher and a number of teaching assistants. The students used their school iPads to take the photos so that everyone had the same type of camera and they were all comfortable using them.
The photos below were chosen by each student as their favourites. A selection of these have been printed and are on display at our photographic exhibition in the main concourse at the West Berkshire Community Hospital.
